Submersible motors

HEW submersible motors are specially designed for use under water. In combination with a gearbox, the motors comply with protection class IP 68 and can be used up to 12 meters under water.

An optimized motor pot housing made of grey cast iron with fewer corners and edges is used as the housing. The robust design makes the drive very durable. A pre-assembled motor cable of 15 m in length is encapsulated towards the motor and allows easy connection on site. The winding is equipped with phase insulation, making the drives suitable for operation on frequency converters. Optionally, the drives can be equipped with PTC thermistor temperature sensors (PTC) or thermal switches (BI-Metal). These drives are available in the power range from 1.1 to 5.5 KW.

As a special version, the motors can be supplied with a closed brake system or a standstill heating system.
