With the same size and number of poles, these motors have the same performance as three-phase motors, but a relatively low starting torque. They are therefore particularly suitable for drives that require a low starting torque or unloaded starting. The capacitor remains permanently switched on. The motors cannot be used for long no-load operation, as the permissible limit temperatures may be exceeded. <\/p>\n
